Abd Majid Oud Joins IFEAT

We are pleased to share that Abd Majid Oud has joined IFEAT, the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades.

IFEAT brings together companies from across the global essential oils and aroma trades, including producers, processors, traders and manufacturers of materials used in the flavor and fragrance industries.

For Abd Majid Oud, becoming part of this international community is a natural step in our development.

Our work with agarwood goes back more than four decades. Over the years, we have worked across cultivation, resin formation, raw material selection, processing and distillation, developing a practical understanding of oud from the tree to the finished oil.

Today, agarwood oil has an established place in fine fragrance, yet it remains a natural material that is often not fully understood. Species, origin, resin formation, wood selection and distillation can all influence the character of the final oil. We believe producers have an important role in sharing this knowledge clearly with the wider fragrance industry.

Joining IFEAT gives us an opportunity to take part in a broader exchange of knowledge within the essential oils and aroma trades. It also allows us to remain closer to discussions around natural raw materials, scientific and regulatory developments, education and international good practice.

For us, membership is not simply about being part of an industry organization. It is an opportunity to listen, learn, contribute and share the experience we have built through decades of working directly with agarwood.
